Hi, it's Emily. This page explains, in plain English, what happens with your data when you visit emilyinai.com. Short version: I run a blog, not a data business. I don't sell your information and I collect as little as possible.

What I collect

I don't ask you to create an account or hand over personal details, so I don't collect names, addresses, or anything like that directly.

I do use Google Analyticsto understand which posts people read and roughly where visitors come from. Google Analytics uses cookies and may collect anonymized data like your approximate location, device, browser, and the pages you view. It helps me figure out what's actually useful so I can write more of it. You can read how Google handles this data in their own privacy policy, and you can opt out using Google's browser add-on.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. The ones on this site come from Google Analytics (for the usage stats above) and, if you click an affiliate link, sometimes from that company so they can credit the referral. You can block or delete cookies anytime in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

Third parties
